PROJECT OVERVIEW

Large‑scale Musical Fountain at Yingkesong Park, Huanglong
This is a large pool‑type musical fountain project located at Yingkesong Park in Huanglong. Leveraging the natural mountain rock wall as its unique backdrop, the fountain features a maximum water jet height of 85 meters. Integrated with water jets, colorful lighting and music rhythm, it creates spectacular water‑dance performances.
Built along the mountain, the project faces typical mountain‑area challenges including valley wind, mountain‑surface runoff, sediment accumulation and humid corrosive environment. Adopting anti‑clogging nozzles, pre‑sedimentation tank, circulating water treatment, wind‑speed linkage control and distributed synchronous control system, the project realizes stable long‑term operation. Serving as a core night‑view landmark, it provides wonderful public leisure and sightseeing experience for local residents and tourists.
Project Challenges

PROJECT CHALLENGES

  • Mountain sediment and sundries blocking nozzles

Adjacent to mountain slope, sediment, fallen leaves and silt flow into the pool, easily blocking nozzles and affecting water‑shape consistency.

  • High‑jet performance disturbed by mountain valley wind

Valley wind in mountainous area impacts the 85‑meter high water column, dispersing water jets and causing water splashing to audience area.

  • Risk of pool siltation caused by mountain flood and surface runoff

Mountain rain‑runoff carries sediment into the fountain pool, resulting in rapid silt accumulation and heavy cleaning workload.

  • Difficult audio‑water‑light synchronization for long‑array fountain

The fountain adopts long‑distance array layout. Signal transmission delay may lead to desynchronization among music, water jets and lighting effects.

  • Complex waterproof & anti‑corrosion for mountain‑side pool structure

The pool is built against mountain rock mass. Rock seepage and humidity bring hidden troubles of leakage and corrosion of underwater facilities.

  • Large‑volume water body with algae and turbid water quality

Open large pool water tends to breed algae, turn turbid, and increases daily operation and maintenance cost.

  • Difficult maintenance of underwater equipment against mountain landform restriction

Limited mountain‑side site condition restricts access space, bringing inconvenience for inspection and replacement of underwater pumps and lamps.

  • On‑site environment interference to control signal

Complex outdoor mountain‑side environment easily generates signal interference, causing unstable equipment operation and program disorder.

OUR SOLUTION

01

Multi‑stage filtration and anti‑clogging nozzle configuration

Adopt stainless‑steel nozzles. Set multi‑layer intercepting filter screens at water intake. Regular desilting and nozzle cleaning are arranged.

02

Wind‑speed sensor linked intelligent jet‑height adjustment

Deploy wind speed monitoring sensor. The system automatically reduces jet height or suspends performance when valley wind exceeds threshold value.

03

Pre‑sedimentation tank and overflow sewage disposal design

Build pre‑sedimentation tank before fountain pool. Equip overflow and blow‑down pipelines to intercept mountain‑carried sediment and reduce pool siltation.

04

Shielded cable & distributed control architecture

Apply shielded signal cables and distributed control cabinets onsite to reduce transmission delay, realizing millisecond‑level synchronization of music, water and light.

05

Composite waterproofing for rock‑attached pool and anti‑corrosion material selection

Carry out rock‑surface seepage‑stopping treatment. The pool adopts composite waterproof layers. Select anti‑corrosion 316SS underwater equipment adapting to humid mountain environment.

06

Circulating filtration + ultraviolet disinfection water treatment system

Equip circulating filtration system together with UV disinfection device to suppress algae growth, keep water clear and lower water‑changing frequency.

07

Modular equipment layout and reserved overhaul channels

Adopt modular pump units. Reasonably set underwater overhaul manholes and on‑land equipment access passages to facilitate later inspection and component replacement.

08

Signal shielding and stable outdoor control configuration

Use shielded signal cables, separate power‑supply and signal wiring. Optimize on‑site grounding to reduce environmental interference and guarantee stable program operation.
