PROJECT OVERVIEW

Over‑water Musical Fountain Silk Road · Bin‑Style

Theme: Set against the historical culture of Binzhou and the Silk Road culture, it showcases the stunning scenery of Houji’s birthplace and the Silk‑Road civilization of the ancient Bin land.
Form: Musical fountain + over‑water stage + laser show + water‑screen movie (Aurora Water‑Screen Movie)
Effects: Hundreds of light groups flicker in interactive coordination; water columns dance to musical rhythms; atomized water curtains form fan‑shaped “screens” for video projection.
Positioning: A landmark project of the Charming Waters of China series; an innovative artistic‑technological waterscape model integrating artistic creativity and technological means.
Project Challenges

PROJECT CHALLENGES

  • Water level characteristics of natural lake

Although the overall water level remains relatively stable, slight fluctuations occur during flood seasons due to rainfall. Floating platforms and nozzle systems need to adapt to water‑level changes to guarantee stable water column and water‑screen imaging effects.

  • Harsh conditions of natural lake water

The lake contains sediment and algae, which easily clog nozzles and filters. The water causes corrosion to underwater steel structures, pumps and pipelines. Underwater maintenance operations are difficult to carry out.

  • Balancing viewing effects over a large lake surface

The performance zone is far from shore‑side audiences. It is necessary to ensure visual impact of high‑altitude water shapes for distant viewing, while taking into account the clarity of shore‑side lights and water‑screen images. Debugging of equipment power and image parameters is challenging.

  • Multi‑system coordination and cultural narrative choreography

Multiple devices including fountains, lights, lasers and water‑screen movies are integrated. It is required to transform the ancient Bin and Silk‑Road culture into water‑dance scripts, achieving millisecond‑level synchronization among music, water shapes and videos.

  • Operation and maintenance pressure for lake in northern climate

Measures for anti‑freezing and water draining are required in cold winters, together with lightning and waterproof protection in thunderstorm summers. Underwater equipment suffers rapid wear, diving maintenance is difficult, bringing pressure on long‑term operation‑cost control.

  • Safety and performance scheduling for cultural‑tourism scenarios

Leakage prevention for over‑water and underwater electric facilities and anti‑slip protection for mist‑wet boardwalks are essential. Performance schedules shall be flexibly adjusted according to tourist volumes in peak/off‑peak seasons and rainy weather conditions.

OUR SOLUTION

01

Adaptive floating platform for water‑level fluctuation

Adopt integral floating performance platform to follow lake water level automatically. Nozzles are equipped with adjustable structure to keep stable spraying height, ensuring consistent water‑screen imaging under seasonal water‑level variation.

02

Anti‑clogging and anti‑corrosion underwater treatment

Install pre‑filtration system for water intake. Select anti‑corrosive materials for underwater steel structures, pumps and pipelines. Regular cleaning is arranged to reduce sediment and algae adhesion, lowering blockage risk.

03

Optimized parameter configuration for long‑distance viewing

Carry out repeated field debugging for nozzle power, light projection angle and water‑screen size. Match high‑power nozzles for long‑distance visual effect, meanwhile optimize near‑shore lighting parameters to balance both distant and close‑up viewing experience.

04

Integrated control system & customized artistic script

Deploy unified central control system to realize millisecond‑level linkage of fountain, light, laser and water‑screen movie. Develop exclusive water‑dance script based on local ancient Bin and Silk‑Road culture for synchronized music, water shape and video output.

05

Targeted seasonal O&M scheme for northern regions

Implement water draining and anti‑freezing protection in winter. Complete lightning‑proof and waterproof transformation for outdoor electrical facilities. Form standardized diving inspection cycle to handle underwater equipment wear and control overall operation cost.

06

Safety guarantee & flexible performance management

Equip professional leakage protection devices for all aquatic electrical equipment. Lay anti‑slip facilities on shore‑side boardwalks. Establish emergency mechanism to adjust performance schedule according to passenger flow and real‑time weather conditions.
